Centerburg High School’s volleyball team, the Trojans, achieved a decisive 3-0 victory over Mt. Gilead on Thursday, enhancing their overall record to 13-5.
According to the match report, the Trojans maintained control throughout, winning sets with scores of 25-6, 25-11, and 25-12. Centerburg’s effective serving and precise offense overwhelmed the home team as they focused on maintaining consistency and securing key conference victories.
Jaelynn Caldwell led the Trojans with 10 aces and 27 assists, orchestrating the offense effectively. Jazmyn Larimore contributed with 12 kills and six aces, providing essential scoring power that kept Mt. Gilead on the defensive.
“Consistency is our focus,” a team representative said. “We want to build on our momentum and stay strong in conference play.”
The Trojans are now preparing for an away match against Danville on Tuesday. With high-level performances in both offense and defense, Centerburg aims to continue their winning streak into the next matchup.
