The Centerburg Trojans earned a decisive 57–20 road victory over the East Knox Bulldogs in a girls varsity basketball conference game.
According to reports, Centerburg delivered a disciplined and high-pressure performance that kept East Knox off balance throughout the night. Their defensive efforts resulted in 16 steals and three blocks, effectively forcing turnovers and limiting second-chance opportunities for their opponents. On offense, Centerburg demonstrated effective ball movement with six assists and consistently found high-percentage shots. They achieved a 45% field goal rate and maintained solid three-point accuracy at 33%. Even under pressure, they converted 75% of their free throws. The Trojans’ ability to execute on both ends of the court was pivotal in a game characterized by control and consistency.
Centerburg is set to face Fredericktown next in another girls’ varsity basketball conference game on Saturday, January 31, at Fredericktown High School. In their previous encounter this year on January 2, Centerburg defeated Fredericktown with a score of 53-36.
