Centerburg’s volleyball team opened its conference slate with grit and power Thursday night, storming back from an early setback to defeat Loudonville 3-1 (23-25, 25-15, 25-19, 25-23).
Senior hitter Sedona Weisbrod fueled the Trojans with 17 kills and 11 digs, leading a balanced attack that swung momentum after a narrow first-set loss. Jazmyn Larimore added 14 kills, 19 digs and two aces, giving Centerburg steady production on both ends of the floor.
Defensively, libero Molly Kain anchored the back row with 20 digs and chipped in four aces from the service line, keeping Loudonville on its heels as the match wore on.
Head coach Abigail Boudinot praised her team’s resilience after the comeback win. “We are excited about a great conference win,” Boudinot said. “We are looking forward to the progress in our consistency as a team.”
The victory improved Centerburg to 3-1 on the season, adding confidence as the Trojans look to solidify their place in the conference race.
