Centerburg’s volleyball team wasted little time asserting control Tuesday night, sweeping Cardington 25-11, 25-7, 25-9 in a dominant road victory.
The Trojans showcased a balanced attack, with three hitters leading the charge. Jazmyn Larimore posted eight kills and 10 digs to pace both the offense and defense. Sedona Weisbrod followed with seven kills and eight digs, while Zoe Evans added seven kills of her own, keeping Cardington on its heels throughout the match.
Head coach Abigail Boudinot credited her team’s focus after the win. “We have been working hard on consistency and the team showed that during this match,” Boudinot said.
The victory improved Centerburg to 4-1 on the season, continuing a strong early campaign that has seen the Trojans blend steady defense with aggressive hitting. The performance marked the second straight conference win for the program, strengthening its push toward the top of the league standings.
Centerburg returns home Thursday, Aug. 28, for another conference test against Mount Gilead. With momentum on their side, the Trojans look poised to keep building on their early-season success.
